Join in with our Lectio Divina by watching the video below. Perhaps you might like to share these moments of prayer with others in your family too.
You can practise your Read Write Inc at home each day -
Practise your 'Fred talk, read the word' by playing the following games. Remember that we can use our sounds to read alien words too!
This week we have been focussing on describing different animals.
Below is a picture of lots of jungle animals. Choose which animal the zoo will send to you, and write some sentences to say why it won't be a good pet!
Use the sentence structure -
They sent me a ........ but it was too .......
See if you could extend your sentences by adding extra details.
Remember to check your sentences for capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
This week we have just started learning about shapes!
Today we are going to be looking at patterns.
At the start of the week we focussed our learning on 3D shapes. Follow the link below and watch the video to remind yourself about 3D shapes. See if you could do the quiz too!
Today we're going to combine our 3D shape knowledge with our pattern knowledge!
Your first challenge is to see if you can find some 3D shapes in your home. Can you find a cube, a cuboid, a sphere and a pyramid? Remember to look carefully at the objects and check their properties match the ones we've learnt.
Take photos of your objects and send them to me!
Now that you have practised your 3D shapes, have a go at completing the repeating patterns below. Remember that a 3D shape is a shape that we can pick up and hold - but we can draw a picture to represent a 3D shape too!
Warm your fingers up by using some of these little rhymes.
Have a go at practising your zigzag letters. Remember to take your time and hold your pencil carefully.
This week our art lesson is focussed on an artist. Her name is Georgia O'Keeffe.
Watch the video below to find out lots the artist, and then complete the work below. Look really carefully at her pictures and pick which is your favourite.
