Welcome back everyone. We can't wait to meet you all after such a long time and are very excited for all the learning that will take place in year 5. In our class there are two teachers - Mrs. Gough and Miss. Hooley. We are lucky to have two classroom assistants, Mrs. Bowker and Mrs. Tweedale.

Please learn your spellings for a test on a Friday. Try and find out the definition of words you are unsure of.

There will be a timestables test every Friday. It is incredibly important that you know all the timestables up to 12x12. Quick recall is paramount in order to help you with all sorts of maths.
This week we will have a 7x test.

Homework will be given out on a Thursday and will need to be handed in on a Tuesday. You will get English and maths work. Additionally, please ensure you try and read for pleasure every day at home - remember this can be anything from the newspaper, magazine, encyclopaedia to your school reading book! Try and read signs and information in the local environment too!
We will only have one PE session this first term which will be outdoor games. This will be on a Thursday and you will need your PE kit and a waterproof coat as we will be going outside whatever the weather!!!!
