Stockport Family Support

It has been agreed that over the Winter Period, families across Stockport will receive support from the Council for the cost of their food and utility bills this Christmas.

Those, who are eligible for income-based Free School Meals, will receive a £30 voucher, (£15 per week) per eligible child to help with the costs of food, utilities and other essentials this winter. A second payment will follow in the New Year.

Eligible families do not need to apply. The Council is working with Stockport schools and colleges to identify the vulnerable families in need of support and will issue vouchers directly.  The vouchers will be sent directly to families in the coming weeks via email. Those families without email access will receive their vouchers by post.

'Inspired by joy, we grow together as members of a unique family who respect love and forgive each other'

Dear Parents,

Our Catholic Education System provides a unique service to Catholic parents by helping us to foster in our children a deep knowledge and love of the Faith.

At St. Joseph's Primary School we seek to work in partnership with you to achieve this aim and at the same time provide a challenging and supportive curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils. This partnership will enable our pupils to realise their full potential and value as individuals in a Catholic environment. We are keen to develop existing links between school, parish and yourselves.

I hope that the information in the subheadings will help you and your child to become familiar with our school and its routines. However, please contact us if you need further details or explanations.

Visits to the school are most welcome and are easily arranged. Most importantly, I hope that your child's time with us will be fruitful, enjoyable and the source of many happy memories in the years to come.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Ruth Vayro

Executive Headteacher
